Recently in the last few weeks I discovered that my inlet line to the ice maker at the top of the ice maker was froze. The coils to the rear were also froze up. I have replaced the water valve and the defrost heater. No ice was in the defrost heater. I do not run a water filter just bypass canister in the fridge and the fridge water is a reverse osmosis line.

It has been hooked up this way for a year with no issues until now. I also have water out of the dispenser. When I thaw everything out it works for about 24 hrs before freezing up again. I’m not sure what else to try, any one have any ideas?

It made a few trays of ice overnight so fingers crossed it’s in good shape.

Looks like it stopped making ice again

I need to know the temperature in the ice maker compartment, put a freezer thermometer in there and let it sit a couple hours.

Is the entire ice maker tray getting filled with water properly?

It is 7degrees in ice storage bin. when the water line is not froze up the cubes are of normal size. If there’s a different test I should do, let me know.

Look where it says: FRESH FOOD ICE MAKER DIAGNOSTIC MODE

Then--->Do TEST 55C Water Valve

Make sure you use a measuring cup to measure the amount of water it fills the cup.

I got just over 1/3 cup of water when doing the test after I thawed everything out

Ok, since the tech data sheet does not say how much water you are suppose to get in the measuring cup, pour that 1/3 cup of water into the empty ice maker tray and see if it fills up all the cube slots, if not then when the water was filling the measuring cup, was it coming out with lots of pressure behind it? Or was it a weak stream?

If it was a weak stream, then the problem is reverse osmosis line pressure has dropped and you will need to increase the line pressure. The minimum pressure is 30 psi. It can't be below that or you will get seepage of a small amount of water into the fill tube water line and that will continually keep freezing it up.
