My ice maker stopped producing ice. I checked the ice maker, and there were frozen cubes in the tray, the ice maker just wasn't doing anything. Tried holding the power button to I position to manually advance it, but nothing happened.
I ordered a new ice maker, and same thing, it doesn't do anything.
I checked the voltage in the connector, and it showed 120 V. Also checked resistance between the blue and black pins (which I think is to the water valve solenoid), and it showed 250 Ohms, so that seemed OK.
Water comes out of the water dispenser just fine, although maybe low pressure. Ordered another filter, but could that be it? Does the solenoid not activate if the pressure is too low, which may cause the entire ice maker to cease all functionality?
If the new filter doesn't fix it, would the only other possible explanation be a bad solenoid? What else to look for?
