I have this inverter from a fridge. I can't test the inverter. I have very little experience with these inverters. First of all, it plugs in to the compressor. Does that mean the compressor is DC? Secondly, take a look at the picture. is that white goop on the capacitor coming out of the capacitor? Because that would mean bad capacitor.

Thanks guys!

Matt

Hi Matt,

Does that mean the compressor is DC?
Yes.

Possibly yes.

Here's the tech. data sheet for your model: https://ecommcdnprod.azureedge.net/...roduct_support/DGH/DGHF2360PFBA/A06589001.pdf

For others following your thread: The gray box on the side of your compressor is the inverter board assembly. There are two larger wires that should have 120 Volts AC and two smaller that must remain connected to measure 3-6 Volts DC. If that checks out remove the inverter and measure the windings on the compressor. You should have 6-10 ohms between any two pins.

Here's the inverter board for your model you can order if needed:

Here's the main control board for your model:

Let us know what you find.
