On my Frigidaire gallery dishwasher model FGHD2465NF1A the door seems to rest lower then normal. I noticed on the right side when facing the dishwasher there is a rope hanging down. I have read that this rope connects to a spring. How do you replace this and inspect on my dishwasher?
Thanks
Jerry

Hi,

Parts link also has a video that should help you get that replaced.

Thanks Jeff. I just watched the video on the door rope. On the right side of my dishwasher I can see the rope hanging down. I will pull the dishwasher out enough to get to the rope. Good suggestion the repair guy said to replace both sides. The parts place near me sells two ropes in a bag.
Thanks
Jerry

Yes, might as well do both at the same time = a better repair :)

Hi Jeff. I got rope for the dishwasher door. The rope was intact. The spring broke. Is there any tricks you know of to attach the spring to the rear of dishwasher and hook up to the rope? I was thinking hook the spring to the back and then use vice grips to hook to the rope. Any idea’s?
Thanks
Jerry

Pulling the d/w out will give the most access to the spring and cable.

Hi Jeff. Just wanted to let you know I replaced the spring on left side. Piece of cake. But I was going to wait to replace right spring. But now that I open and close door I think I need to replace the spring.
Thanks
Jerry

I know they don't, but they should sell the springs in pairs and suggest we replace them in pairs.....JMO!
Glad to hear you got that troubled one done! (y)
