Hello all, I need some help. I have a stand alone Frigidaire gallery refrigerator that is not cooling properly. It will sound the above 55degrees alert but then later the temp may go into 30s to 40s. Coils cleaned. Fan running. Inside fan running but part of the coil freezing up.

So the entire coil does not have a even frost pattern on it from Top to Bottom?

Its just frosty at the top left side per your photo above?

That's indicates you have a sealed system problem.

The sealed system consists of the compressor, condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger, filter/drier and refrigerant. Common problems with a sealed system are bad compressors, refrigerant leaks, and system restrictions. Sealed system repair costs will often exceed the machines value.

Thanks Jake. Anything I can check before I have to go the route of replacing? It's less than 4 years old.

Check your owners manual warranty, some models have up to 5 yrs. warranty on the sealed system.

Other than that, you'd need to contact Frigidaire to come out at 1-800-374-4432 if plan on having it fixed.

Hey Jake, so I replaced the heater and thermostat. I then put on a tap valve onto my low pressure line and the gauge showed negative pressure. I slowly added Freon to the system(over about 20 minutes) and now it is working great. I spent about $80 for the garage and supplies.
Thanks for the help
