the ice maker was not filling all the way so I turned the adjustment screw to increase water fill time. This caused a problem and the ice maker would not turn off, as the arm kept turning. Bought a new ice maker but it’s still not filling up anywhere near full. The water valve has 3 solenoids.
I checked voltage to the water dispenser solenoid—120v. But the voltage to the ice maker solenoid (had to wait for the fill cycle) is only 95v. So I put the connector from the water dispenser solenoid onto the ice maker solenoid and pressed water dispenser lever. Got 120v and the water seemed to flow just fine into the ice maker.
I assume the voltage drop is causing the solenoid to not function properly. But I have no clue why there are only 95v instead of 120v going to ice maker solenoid. Could there be a problem with the wire harness ?? Also the voltage from the connector that the ice maker plugs into is 120v, and the ice maker is working OK…
