Good afternoon,

One of the large front burners on my glass-top Kenmore oven, Model # 790.95662100, always heats up too high. Even on low, it boils water and gets extremely hot. I cannot even use this burner because everything burns on it. What do I need to replace to fix this burner?

Thank you VERY MUCH for your suggestions!

Hi Ryan,

The problem is your burner switch, here's the one for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 316238200

Is it 54A the large dual front burner?

Here's the parts diagram for your model:

You just pull the knob#31 off, then take the back console panel#56 off, then you remove the wires and make were they go on a piece of paper, then remove the two mounting screws in the front from were you removed the knob, then install the new switch and your good to go.:)

Remember to unplug or turn the breaker off to your range first!
