it sounds like stripped gears or something is blocking it..

OK. now I have to figure out how to get to those parts. have you ever taken one apart?

I THINK this may be the manual. I had to remove some chapters so it would upload. Wish I had it before i took the icemaker apart. :)

UPDATE: Installed parts from KIT #5303918495. FFIM is making ice. ;)

Attached are the instructions that came with the kit.

George, thanks for the update and instructions! I'm glad to hear you have ice now. Did you install all the parts that came in the kit? How long did it take you?

Rick...The only parts that needed to be installed on my unit were the 8.5 FFIM Ice Maker Control board, the shut off arm assembly, and the ice mold assembly. All the other items in the kit were already installed in my fridge.

I'd say it took me about an hr or so. not hard to do at all. Having the instructions in the kit and the service manual helped.
hardest part was moving the fridge away from the wall so i could get to the FFIM board. I was afraid of tearing up my flooring...few pieces of scrap carpet helps.

Oh and remove at least the top two shelves..or you could bump and scratch your head..don't ask how i know. :eek:
