Hello,

I have a Maytag refrigerator (MFI2269VEM2) where I had to replace the W10213583D control board due to front panel failure. The panel was not working and the refrigerator was not cooling.

After the replacement, everything worked except now the refrigerator has a constant door alarm. I did not have to program anything or enter the pass code. I went into service mode and it shows the the freezer door is open. The door switch controls the light fine but the service mode always shows it as open.

I replaced the switch (W11445850) but the problem is still there. I also tested the original switch with a volt meter and it has the right resistance. The door alarm issue did not exist before I replaced the board.

What can I do to fix it?

Its sounds like you received a defective control board, contact the place you got it from and they should be able to send you another one free of charge.

Also W10213583 has been updated to this one below.

WPW10310240 High Voltage Control Board

Thank you very much for the reply.

I will request a replacement control board from the seller. Is WPW10310240 backwards compatible with W10213583D?
That is the one I bought because it is the one my refrigerator already had.

Do you know the difference between W10213583 and W10213583D? Can one be replaced with the other?

When you click the link to the updated one I posted above it says this:
Cross Reference Information
Part Number WPW10310240 replaces W10310240, 12920717SP, 12920719SP, 12920721, 12920724, 1862775, PS11752535, W10162662, W10164420, W10164422, W10165854, W10191108, W10213583. It doesn't mention the "D" but that's likely a revision letter.

Thank you very much for all of your help. I received the replacement control board from the original seller and it fixed all of my issues. Looks like the problem was a defective control board.

Excellent, glad to hear that.(y)

Thanks for the update!
