Hi -
The freezer light switch sticks and will not allow the light to turn on when the door opens. I can manually pull the switch down and the light will go on.

My novice-self is having a challenging time figuring out how to remove the freezer switch cover panel that is around the switch. There are two bolts/screws in the back but the front appears to be snapped in place. I don't want to tug and pull too much for obvious reasons....

Once the cover is off would you anticipate it being an easy fix (like adjusting a spring) or something more complex?

If you'd like me to post a picture, please let me know.

Thank you for your guidance.

Very helpful! Thank you, Jake.

It appears after more than ten years of use the little spring inside the freezer light switch gave way. I'm ordering a new one from the link you provided.

Much appreciated!
