There is a noticeable gap between the door gasket and the frame of the fridge. The door looks straight but the gasket's magnet doesn't seem to stick to the fridge frame. The door offers no resistance when opening. How can the gasket's magnet go bad? Will a new gasket resolve the issue? Are all gaskets the same even if different prices?

Thanks

Hi,

There is a noticeable gap between the door gasket and the frame of the fridge.
Fresh food or freezer?

How can the gasket's magnet go bad?
Usually doesn't....door can get warped, gasket can collapse, hinge can bind the door.

Are all gaskets the same even if different prices?
Nope.

The current gasket is not damaged at all. Should I pry the door to try to close the gap instead?

Loosen the screws a little, try flexing the door and retightening the screws to hold it in place....make sure nothing is hitting inside or rubbing.

The vertical adjustment of the door pivot was off a 1 turn. Adjusted, re-test OK. Thanks for your help Jeff.
