I have this WS10D10-A Wallmaster series Air Conditioner. After a year of normal use, the fan would not turn upon first start this year (compressor worked fine). With other AC's, if you pushed the fan blade and gave it a head start, the fan would kick in and work for the entire year with no problems. Not so with this one.

So, I did some research and saw that there was discussion of doing some lubrication to get the fan working. I wanted to try that, or maybe even to replace the fan motor. I've also read that this issue is common this series/age.

I've taken the unit apart, as much as I could figure out, but obviously the two major halves need to be separated to get the fan out, and I cannot figure out how to accomplish that. Any advice?
