I have had my Frigidaire built-in range, model CFES3035LS1 for 2 days. It was a floor model. The cooling fan turned on as soon as it was plugged in, and ran continuously. I waited 24 hours and it was still on. It is under warranty, of course, but I would have to wait until Monday to make a service call. As I understand it, the cooling fan is supposed to come on automatically to cool the oven then turn off when done, but the fan has been running continuously while plugged in without the oven having been used. If I select a Quick Clean function then the cooling fan turns off, but comes back on when I cancel Quick Clean.

Is there anything I can do before I call for service? Should I trip the breaker to conserve energy? (I don't know how much power the cooling fan is drawing to operate - is it comparable to a VCR?)

Hi,

Just shut off the power when you are not using the oven.

Should I trip the breaker to conserve energy?

The little fan will not use much power but yes I would trip off the breaker.

Don't mess with it yourself and void the warranty!

jeff.
