Thanks to these forums, I replaced the water inlet valve on this unit about three months ago.

Last night, a new problem emerged.

Started the dishwasher before bed - around 10pm or thereabouts.

Woke up this morning to a plastic burning smell and the dishwasher and the counter top were very, very hot.

It appears as though the drying cycle never stopped. Unplugged it and letting it cool down.

At this juncture, it is 10 years old and diagnosing and replacing the inlet valve to address a small leak was fine. But this seems like a fire hazard. So wondering if its worth replacing.

At 10 years it reached the end of it’s life. Actually a few years longer. Don’t start throwing good money after bad. Replace it with another Frigidaire
