Evening-
I have a Frigidaire/Electrolux model FG4H227UF that was purchased about 18 months ago (checked and warranty has ran out) that began giving the 'HI TEMP' alert for the freezer 3 days ago. After some research I believe the cause is to be the thermistor, I ordered the part, however I won't receive the part for another 2 weeks. I thought I would pull the fridge out and unplug it (thinking maybe unplugging the refrigerator would 'reset' the onboard computer) and vacuum out the coils.
Due to the fridge being only 18 months old there was not much dust on the coils. I reinstalled all panels, plugged it back in and let it set, several hours later it began to give the high temp warning. The next day I noticed the food in the Flex drawer to be warmer than usual, we kept a close eye on it and the 'hi temp' alarm began going off for the flex drawer. Could the culprit still be the thermistor? Any suggestions/guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark
