Hello,

I have a brand new Frigidaire model # FGSS2635TF6 that stop dispensing ice. Ice maker works perfectly fine.

Things I have tested through reading the blog.
1) Auger motor works fine. Have hold the light switch and door switch without the Ice bin inside and it turns perfectly, no hesitation.
2) I have look for cracks in the ice bin and around auger. Did not see any.

The auger motor is not engaging with the auger in the ice bin and Im not sure why.

Please help!

Hi,

It sounds like the ice bucket auger mechanism is not lining up properly with your auger motor gear.

I'm attaching your owners manual below, look on page 22 it explains how to line it up properly.

Hi Jake,

I’ve tried what page 22 said, many many times and I still can’t get it to work.

Any other suggestions... very frustrated from how many times I have turn it.

The auger motor seems to get stuck when the bin is in. Without it, it is actually spinning as stated before.

Ok, then you will need to have Frigidaire come out to see what's going on while its under warranty.

Contact Frigidaire at 1-800-374-4432

Let us know what they find.

Update:

Technician found through Frigidaire contact info given, came last week and said the auger motor seemed to be stripped because although it rotates, it is not hooking to the auger in the ice bin. He ordered the auger motor and ice bin with auger just in case

Technician came in today after parts arrived and changed the auger motor. That is all it need it. Ice dispensing like before. 20 minute fix. Free of charge
