Did a load of laundry and during the spin cycle it was making an ungodly noise, like a jackhammer. The final minute of spin for this washer is really slow and intermittent, like a couple of turns, a pause, a couple more turns, etc. During that it sounded like a cartoon donkey. When I removed the clothes there was some shredded looking plastic, and if I manually spin the drum it makes that sick cartoon donkey sound. What am I in for?

Its possibly the outer tub bearing has worn out: https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Outer-Tub/134956210/1795573 Thus causing the inner tub to start shredding the plastic outer tub.

It would cost more to fix than its worth at this age.
