We moved in almost a year ago - previous owners were here 11 mo. I did a self clean to the oven a week or two ago (2nd time doing it) and now the oven isn't heating correctly. Lastnight we had potatoes and carrots in the oven at 400 degrees and it took 1.5 hrs to cook them correctly. We haven't had any luck with cooking banana bread at all. It takes much longer than original to preheat.

Kind of at a loss where to go.. If it were the thermostat the food would have been charred, but if it were the element, the temperature wouldn't have gotten to 400..

Not necessarily. A temperature control can either malfunction too hot or too cold. Did you actually measure the oven temperature? That should be done to compare to the set temperature so we know for certain.

There are 3 oven elements, the bake, the broil and convection. All of them appear to be in use during bake. If one or more failed, the oven would likely be slower to heat. It would be helpful to know for certain the temperature it is actually reaching.

The elements can be tested for continuity to see if they're bad or not.

If the elements test as Ok but they're not coming on when they should, it could be the relay board failing to send power to them. That relay board is a common failure point.
