Frigidaire Professional Gallery FRS26ZSE. Ice shooting out of dispenser by itself. When you open the door it stops, close the door and it starts again. Any suggestions on where to start. I was unplugged the wire harness and cannot use the door water or ice.

If you switch it to water does the water from the water dispenser keep flowing out non-stop till you open the door too?

Here's the #7 microswitch, that activates the ice and water and if that is bad or sticking it would cause this issue for BOTH ice and water to keep coming out non-stop.

You would need a multimeter to ohm test it for continuity when the button on the micro switch is pushed in. Should read 0-1 ohm. Unplug or turn the breaker off to your refrigerator first.

Remove the module cover#14 then remove the screws#26, the use a putty knife to remove the trim, its all 1 piece, it has double-sided tape on it, don't worry about that, it will go back on fine, when you re-install it.

If the #7 switch is good, Then its the ice dispenser switch that's bad, the diagram does not say which is the ice dispenser switch, its either #38A or 38B, but test them both and see which one is bad or sticking.
