Frigidaire range model CFEF372ES1 oven control board cost+ labour = cheaper to buy new not fix

This 7 year old Frigidaire range is not worth fixing when you consider the oven control board part cost $250+$150 labour and is currently not available until March and I cannot go without hot food fpr weeks.

I cannot understand why this $500 range uses a $250+150=$400 part when I only paid $500 in the first place.

Is everything designed this way - do not repair - just throw away !

Another frustrated Frigidaire customer gone to another manufacturer.

Surely I cannot be the only person who has experienced this problem.

Appliances, now days, are are only designed to last five to ten years so you're correct, it's best to put that money towards a new one.
