Hello,

I have a Frigidaire side by side fridge/freezer model number FFHS2622MSN. The bottom keeps filling with water and freezing which then blocks the air vent from the fridge and causes the temp to rises in the fridge side.

I've completely cleared the drain line (removed all ice; made sure it was draining) multiple times and within 10-14 days, it's frozen solid below the compressor again.

I've removed my icemaker completely and I've even tried turning the water line off but this happens again.

It's like there is an abnormal amount of water coming down to the drain line.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm about to "office space" this thing in the backyard.... LOL

“it's frozen solid below the compressor again.”

You mean evaporator coils, correct? With the water to the refrigerator turned off it still builds up with ice?

Yes, correct. Below the evaporator coils slowly fills to a block of ice that eventually blocks the vent hole to the fridge side. Even with the water completely off on the fridge (closed valve on the water line) it still happens.
