I have a Frigidaire Gallery model and prior to replacing the water filter, it was making a very loud noise when I would dispense water. I replaced the water filter, and that seemed to solve the problem for a couple of days. It is now back to making the noise, and a very low stream of water comes out when dispensing water.

Hi Jake,
Thank you for your reply. I bought the correct water filter and it is the Frigidaire brand as well. It’s not longer making the noise, and instead just has either very little water flow or none at all. I pulled the fridge out to take a look at the back, and saw it was leaking close to where the copper line is attached to the fridge, and then I need to clean back there! I’ve attached a video. I’ve now turned off the water supply to the fridge to prevent it from just dripping.

Your videos are not showing, convert the videos to .mp4 and upload them again OR upload the videos to Youtube and post the Youtube link here. Or share your video per Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive and post the share link here.

Do you have the by-pass cartridge? It comes with the refrigerator when you buy it new. Put the bypass cartridge in and see if it does that same thing, if so and you have good water pressure to the refrigerator, then its definitely that filter head that's the culprit.

Here's the bypass cartridge for your model:

Great thanks! Those videos show good.

The water leaking is that nut needs to be tighter where it connects to your water inlet valve.

In fact you can remove that cardboard backing and remove the TAN plastic water line from underneath the TAN solenoid and get a container to catch water in and put it underneath that TAN solenoid and press the water dispenser paddle and see if it makes that noise still or not.

Here's the water inlet valve for your model:

I think you misunderstood, water was not suppose to come out that TAN hose, it was only suppose to come out of the water inlet valve, where you removed the TAN hose from, that's why I mentioned for you to put a container under the water inlet valve to catch the water from the water inlet valve.:)

I didn't hear that noise in your Tan hose unhooked video, so that confirms the problem is the water filter head.

Definitely misunderstood you! 😂 I guess that’s why water came from under the fridge then? Lol. I will order the water filter head. Is there a video of how to replace that? Thank you so much for your help. 😊
