I recently bought an evaporator fan motor on line to replace mine which was a little noisy. When installed and restored power, I got an audible alarm and the temperature display was flashing. I put the original back in and was back to normal operation. The part numbers were the same on both motors. What was the display trying to tell me? Where can I find display operation and error code information?

This one?

Odd!
Bad new part? Wrong part?

Where can I find display operation and error code information?

Tech sheet comes with the refrigerator, probably rolled up under the unit or such.

Sounds like you have a bad part... or if you order things off amazon instead of the original part I've seen where they variate that voltage slightly in some cases. I can say there is a lot of aftermarket stuff that does not maintain the same quality as the manufactures original equipment.

Yep. I ordered the OEM Panasonic earlier this morning.

Hey Jeff. When you get a chance, I’m still having an issue with my Frigidaire. I measured the dc voltage at the control board on the red and brown leads. I measure 11.32. Board issue? Twice in the middle of two separate nights, the temp display was going on and off with audible alarm. Put original evap motor back in and it will do the same thing. Seems like when it comes out of defrost. If I open the freezer door and let it run on low speed for a bit, then I can get it to go to high speed. From what I have read on other posts, 11.32 volts is unacceptable. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Any fault codes being displayed?

Motor says 12 volts DC. I would think 11.32 is close enough....mildly low.

Good motor, mildly low voltage would more to me indicate a board issue is very possible.

Three motors can’t be bad. No fault codes. Probably the board. APP is out of stock on my model board. As old as the unit is, I’ll bite the bullet and get a new refrigerator. Thanks for getting back so quickly.
