Frigidaire wall oven - front panel gets very hot when oven is on. Cooling fan doesn't turn on

We recently moved into a house that has a Frigidaire professional series wall oven. Model CPEB30S8CC2. When baking or broiling, the front panel gets very hot to the touch when oven is on for a while and the cooling fan does not turn on. When we recently ran a "Clean" cycle, the cooling fan turned on with air blowing out of the top vent.

Is it normal for the cooling fan not to turn on turn on during baking or broiling? Or is there an issue with the oven?

I checked your owners manual and it didn't mention a cooling fan coming on during bake or broil.

Does your model have a fan switch you can manually turn on? If so just turn that on during bake and broil.

Thank you for the reply. It does not have a manual fan switch.
Just out of curiosity, I measured the temperature of the front panel above the vent today by touching it with a meat thermometer and it reached 129 degrees F after baking for about half an hour.

At our previous house, we had a built-in Jenn-Aire wall oven and the cooling fan would turn on automatically when it reached a certain temperature and then would stay on for a while after the oven was turned off.

It seems really weird that the front control panel would get so hot without the fan turning on.

Yup, your owners manual mentions it willl get very hot when baking and broiling, but didn't mention any cooling fan when baking or broiling.

Sorry, thats just how these models are made.

I just noticed your model has been discontinued as well, so maybe others were complaining about the same thing. So they quit making your model, or redesigned it with a new model number.
