The other day the washer stopped working, it would fill with water but not turn, then just stop. The error code and troubleshooting pointed towards a bad control board. Bought a new one and today, installed it. The washer now fills and turns and seemed to be working perfectly, but won't drain. It was draining fine before the board went kaput.

The control board I got was a refurb. Is there any chance it has anything to do with the pump not working? Is there a way to test the pump or otherwise troubleshoot this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Which control board did you replace? The main control board? Or the motor control board? Post the part number of that board you replaced.

The main control board tells the drain pump to run.

Use a meter and check for 120 volts at the drain pump electrical terminals when it should be draining.

Here's the NEW main control board for your model:

Part Number 134743500 (AP3891780) replaces 1191307, 134409900, 134409902, 134409903, 134409904, 134591200, AH1524621, EA1524621, PS1524621.

What was the error code you were getting?

So it was draining fine before you replaced the motor control board?

Use a meter and check for 120 volts at the drain pump electrical terminals when it should be draining.

I was getting E57.

Yes, it was draining fine before the board replacement.

How do you recommend doing this? When I unplug the pump to test the incoming wire, it throws error E23 (Wire off pump)

Leave the wires connected to the drain pump then, if your meter probes are too large use this safety pin trick:

But its very simple--->Put your old motor control board back in place and see if the drain pump runs again, if so, then you know that motor control board you got is bad.
