Hello,

My refrigerator stopped getting cold enough and I believe I found the cause. After running it for 30 minutes or so and turn it off, I can hear a hissing sound coming from around the compressor area in the back. I've tried spraying soapy water on the pipes but could not find where the leak was coming from.

I believe it it internal to the refrigerator right before the pipe comes out. The reason I believe this is because the water filter housing cracked earlier and a lot of water leaked inside the refrigerator. I believe this caused the pipe to corrode and start to leak. I have no way of verifying this as I cannot figure out how to get to the internal piping.

The back of the refrigerator is one solid section and I don't think I can disassemble it. Is there a way to get to it from the inside? Or is there another explanation for the hissing sound?

Hi,

Make a hole, use tin snips to cut the metal, dig out the foam insulation and have some fun to access anything inside the wall.
