We had some contractors over to the house and they turned off the water line to the Dishwasher w/o our knowledge.
We ran the dishwasher before realizing this and now it runs but doesn't heat (unit is cold during operation and dishes are cold and wet on completion).

I'm wondering how to remove the heating element for this product variant?

I understand many others w/ GE Profile dishwashers replaced the flood switch to solve this problem:
but the flood switch assembly on this model is totally different and I don't want to go there until I've ohm tested the heating element.

Any help appreciated!

Hi, you are correct, your model does not use that same flood switch.

Let's start with seeing if your TCO is tripped first.

Disconnect power to the dishwasher first!

--->The TCO is located on the right side of the tub, approximately 16 inches from the front of the tub.

The TCO is in a series circuit with the Calrod Heater, if that TCO is bad(open) it will never heat.

TCO=Thermal Cut Off

Here's the TCO for your model:
Wire Harness WD21X24096

Its the SILVER METAL part integrated into that wire harness. Its currently in-stock here: WD21X24096

If you see a button on the TCO push it to RESET it, then see if it heats like @Ray-P did.

Let us know what you find.
