My issue started with a leaking diverter, somehow the rubber housing that slips over the pump output sprung a leak on the top side.
After fixing this the heating element no longer seems to be working either.
Things I've tested so far
- Continuity of the heating element ~13 - 20 ohms so probably fine
- Exhaust motor and vent - all looks fine
- UI control board - no visible damage or smoked parts
- Main control board - no visible damage or smoked parts
- Ran it through a cycle and put a volt meter on the heating element leads and sporadically checked the voltage - always at 0v
- Checked for loose connections underneath, to no avail.
Anything I'm missing? What should I explore next?
I'm thinking I'm just going to kick up the temp of the water heater to 140~ and just live without heated dry but the wife isn't on board with that idea.
