Several weeks/months ago our dishwasher started to beep at random and the control panel would light up (as if you just opened the door). It would happen several times a day but aside from that was functioning normally. Last week it died completely - no LEDs illuminated and the controls are completely unresponsive.
Tried flipping the breaker off for a few minutes but still nothing, I then pressed the Select Cycle and Start buttons at the same time for Five (5) seconds. If the control responds with LED’s or Display coming on, The CSM is tripped, still nothing. At this point I gave up and ordered another dishwasher. When I pulled this one out it started working again with the panel still lighting up randomly. So I cancelled the order and used it for a few more weeks before it died again completely.
Based on this situation we decided to follow the same steps and replaced the UI - WD21X23462
After researching online we found a similar situation through a forum applianceblog.com
When watching the video to replace this part through your site it gave instructions to match the jumper pins. Unfortunately my factory one didn't have any jumper pins and I am lost on what to do. I did try installing with no connections made through the jumpers but no success, it is completely unresponsive.
I hate to throw any other parts/money at it. Can you give any other input? If needed I could show pictures of both UI's side by side if it would help.
Top is the new one and bottom is the original in the pictures.
