I came home from work to my wife telling me that water was leaking out of the dishwasher. I pulled the basket out and the filter was totally blocked. Cleaned and reasembled and drained water. Went to test to see if it would drain but the dishwasher was still in dry mode from the previous cycle when i closed the door. I opened the door and attempted to cancel the cycle and the display went blank. I found some instructions w/ a series of steps to reset the display which was successfull.

Now, everytime i reset and close the door to run the cycle i hear a series of 3 clicks and the display goes out on the third click. I do the reset and it comes back on unitl i go to run a cycle again. Possible issue w/ the door switch?

Hi,

--->Here's the machine control board(underneath the dishwasher) for your model:

Check your machine control board STATUS LED, Tell us how many times its flashing in a row, or if its STEADY ON or STEADY OFF.

To view the machine control board STATUS LED, lower the access panel of your dishwasher. You don't need to remove the main control board from its casing to view the STATUS LED.

Then turn the breaker back ON to your dishwasher and make sure all the electrical connectors are connected to it and let us know how many times its flashing, or if its STEADY ON or STEADY OFF.

Thank you. When I reset it I have 1 green flash with a 3 second pause. When I close the door the display goes out, I get 7 flashes.

Is there a water sensor in the bottom pan? There was some water there. Soon as I dried it it came on!

Yes, there is.

So you have a moisture leak that is causing this issue.

You'll need to pinpoint where its leaking from, then your problem will be solved, once the leak is fixed.

I'm wondering if when it overflowed from the basket being clogged some water got down there. I dried it and ran 2 cycles. So far so good.

Yes, I agree.

So you should be ok now if no other leak is present.:)

So im still having a problem with this thing not draining. No leaks anywhere. Problem with the buttons not working went away after I dried the pan. Worked ok for a week then started over flowing again. When I force it into drain mode you can hear the pump making a hum but no drainage. I'm going to assume the impeller either has debris stuck in it or the pump has just failed and the next couse of action should be to pull it and inspect it?

Did you remove the drain hose from underneath your sink garbage disposal and put the drain hose in something to catch water in and see if it drains into that first?

If the drain pump is humming and not running, yes you will need to remove the drain pump and check for a foreign object that maybe stuck/jammed in it preventing it from running.

Here's the drain pump for your model:

This video gives you the general idea of how to access it:

Make sure you disconnect power to your dishwasher first!

Yea I did. I also used a hand pump that I use to clear drains (I'm an hvacr contractor) to suck water through the hose. Seems as if it was pulling the standing water from inside the dishwasher so either the motor is seized or the impeller is stuck. I'm going to pull the dishwasher tomorrow and see.

Is there a part number for the chrome piece on top of the door that goes on the front edge of the display?
