We have a GE Cafe side by side refrigerator.

Water is dripping behind the lower crisper pan. (Photo is below with circles around where it drips.)

Also, on the second shelf, the wall in the fridge on the opposite side of the freezer, gets ice on it. So if something is leaning against the wall, it will freeze/stick to it.

It appears to drip a lot less when the ice maker is turned off.

We had someone come here to take a look. He put water in the defrost drain and it was fine. Outside of that, he had no idea what the problem is.

Any thoughts/advice/suggestions?

Thanks
Stacey

The model number you gave me is for a Frigidaire and not a GE Cafe'. Is that correct?
the wall in the fridge on the opposite side of the freezer, gets ice on it.
Sounds like an air leak or blocked return vent Could be a damper issue also.

My bad - it is a GE Cafe - we had the number stored in a document and it is wrong.

Model is: CZS25TSEBFSS

There's also a drip sounds internally that happens intermittently.

Are any of these issues you mention easy for us to try to see if we can fix ourselves?

Thanks Rick.

Your picture is too close. I can't tell if that's the freezer or fresh food section. Im guessing fresh food. Remove the cover over the evaporator and see if the drain hole is blocked. The dripping could be the water coming off the evaporator when it's in defrost mode. If the drain is blocked the water will eventually run down behind the crisper. Make sure all the fans are working.

Okay. Are you suggesting to check both or start with the fresh food side, since that is where the water is dripping?
