Why does the flood switch keep it from drying?

There is a thermistor in the flood switch to detect heat, if that thermistor is bad it will not heat.

Ah - got it. There is still water in the filter well. how can i activate the pump to empty the water?

Press the Cancel button.

But usually there is always a little left over water in the filter well, disconnect power to the dishwasher first, then just soak it up with a towel.
