Hello all,

Unit is 5 years old. Started out not filling up and pulling the detergent out of the holder. Pulled the float switch out and cleaned it with vinegar and peroxide. Freed up the switch it was stuck.

After that it worked a few times then the start button wouldnt start the unit.

I replaced the door latch switch no change.
Ive replaced the interface control panel with no change.

I'm not sure how to diagnose it further. Holding start and select cycle for 5 seconds makes all LEDs blink 9 times then the lock controls light illuminates.

The only thing left to change is the unit control board?

I'm wondering if I should just buy another unit...

Thank you!

Corey

Hi Corey,

Open the control board cover and check the Service LED on the control board. If the Service LED is blinking, count the number of blinks between pauses. If the LED is not lit replace the control board.

Here's the control board for your model:

Here's the video that show you how to remove the cover to access the main control board, and Service LED on it: Main control board access video

Let us know what you find.

Jake the board appears to be continuously blinking (green) every half second. I don't see any pauses whatsoever...

What should I do?

There are two choices for Flashing 1 time. Which would be Flashing(1x per second) or Flashing(1x per 3 seconds).

Yours would be closer to--->Flashing(1x per second)--->Communications Lost Between Control boards. Check connections, replace UI board if necessary.

I'd first check your UI(user interface) board and control panel buttons and see if you notice any corrosion or anything that looks odd, it sounds like you possibly have a short in the UI.

Here's your service manual:

Pages 45-50 tells you how to access the UI(user interface) board and control panel parts.

The UI board is brand new I swapped that first.

Definitely blinking faster than 1 per second but it is continuous.

Tried doing service mode and consumer error mode and according to what I'm reading its saying the door is open. I've already changed that switch as well...

Then you will need to replace the machine control board, I posted the link to it in post #2 above.
