Hello!

So my dishwasher initially was doing the blinking start light thing I've read about here. After running through some of the troubleshooting (entering consumer error mode), the start button won't even illuminate at all, no flashing light, no light at all. I can still enter consumer error mode by pressing start and cycle select so I assume it's working, just has no light? Any ideas on why this happened?

Hi,

Check your main control board STATUS LED, Tell us how many times its flashing in a row, or if its STEADY ON or STEADY OFF.

--->Here's the machine control board for your model: WD21X24901 Machine Control

To view the STATUS LED, remove the lower access panel of your dishwasher. You DO NOT have remove the control board from its metal casing when you view the STATUS LED.

When you have that panel lowered down turn the breaker back ON to your dishwasher. When viewing it leave all the electrical connectors to it plugged in.

Ok, you will need a multimeter to see if your getting 120 Volts at the electrical connector to the machine control board where it says 120 VAC SUPPLY.

If you are getting 120 volts there and the STATUS LED is STEADY OFF, then the machine control board is the problem. I posted the link to the machine control board in post #2 above.

Ok replaced the control board. Now the status LED is flashing green 6 times.

Start button still won’t light up when pressed on its own.

Thanks!
