Recently, when we press start, after a few seconds it beeps 3 times, and amber light at front top center by control panel starts blinking.
Following some of the posts here, I've tried entering consumer error mode by holding select cycle + start for 5 seconds, but it never responds to that command.
Since we suspected the control board, we opened up the panel at the bottom to check for an LED. I didnt see any LED light while the machine was on. (Turned it off to open it up).
Tried turning it off for at least 30sec, and more like 5-10 mins. It didnt appear to reset anything. Same issue persists.

Is this likely a control board thing? Anything I should check before trying to replace?

Thx

Hi,

Did you check for 120 volts coming into the machine control board with a multimeter?

If you have 120 volts coming into the machine control board and the machine control board(located underneath the dishwasher) STATUS LED is STEADY OFF, then your machine control board is the problem.

See it on the right side of this photo below? Coming off the two yellow wire nuts, I circled it in red.:)

--->Here's the machine control board for your model you can order: WD21X24900
