My 4 year old GE dishwasher GDT545PSJ4SS was not powering ON and when I checked the control board STATUS LED it was showing solid green hence I replaced the user interface control board (WD21X23461) after replacing now I am seeing the amber light flashing with beep on when the door is latched and dishwasher is started.

When I checked the control board LED light I notice 1 flash every 3 secs when not started and 2 flashes ever 3 sec after door is closed pressing start button. What is the issue? Do I need to replace the control board as well or is it some other issue?

Thanks
Thirulok

Here's the user interface(UI) Board for your model:
WD21X23461 Kit Svc Ui Top Logic

Remember--->You have to set the personality jumpers on the new UI Board before you install it or it will not work, the instructions that came with the new UI Board show you how to do it.:)

Did you follow the instructions that came with the new UI Board to set the personality jumpers before you installed it?

Hi Jake.. I did set the jumpers as instructed on the new UI board before installing.

Old UI broad that I removed didn’t have any jumper though.

The original UI Board will not have jumpers, only the new one you order will.

Yes, you need to check for 13.5 Volts DC, at the machine control board.

STATUS LED Steady ON: UI personality not set, communications lost between UI(User Interface) and MC(Machine Control Board).

The UI operational voltage is output from the main control board on connector J722 pin 2 black/green to pin 5 yellow/blue. If 13.5 Volts DC is not found here, then replace the machine control board. If 13.5 Volts DC is found here, then the UI Board you got is faulty if you set the jumpers properly per the instructions that came with it.

Take the voltage reading from the J722 connector on the back side of the control board.

That J722 connector is on the other side of the control board, look here:

It's the one on the left above the ethernet port.:)

Let us know what you find.

Hi Jake.. Checked the voltage on J722 pin.. it shows 14.2 volts.. in that case UI board I replaced is bad?

That is correct, your UI Board is defective, send it back and get a refund, and order from my link to it above in post #2.
