Over the course of a few months, the dishwasher would randomly beep and sometimes require a breaker power cycle and then it would come back online.

Most recently the washer stopped working. This is what I have done with no success:
1. Replaced main board
2. Replaced UI board

Now the main board light flashes 6 times rapidly. The service manual solution is: "Dishwasher is in Demo Mode. To exit Demo Mode, press and hold START and HEATED DRY for 5 seconds."

Pressing and holding for 5 seconds does nothing.

Next step would be?

If the machine control board is flashing 6x per 3 seconds, you are correct--->Dishwasher is in Demo Mode. To exit Demo Mode, press and hold Start and Heated Dry for 5 seconds.

Did you set the personality jumpers on the NEW UI Board before you installed it? If not, that's the reason those buttons are not working when you press and hold START and HEATED DRY for 5 seconds.

It should of come with the jumpers and the instruction sheet to show you how to set the jumpers.

Here's the UI Board for your model: WD21X23462 Kit Svc Ui Top Logic

See the instruction sheet and jumpers in this photo:

Thank you for the reply.

At present I switched the new board back out with the old one and it went from being dead to working again.........

When I muster the patience to put the new board back in, is there any specific reset procedure I need to follow or should it work once I have the jumpers set?

Which board? The machine control board underneath the dishwasher? Or the UI Board at the top of your door?

You didn't answer my question--->Did you set the personality jumpers on the NEW UI Board before you installed it?

Ok, you have to do that when you install the new UI Board on your model or it will not work properly.
