Hello All,
I am new to the form and I am looking for some help on my GE dishwasher.
Here is the problem I am having - the heating element is not heating the water during the wash cycle I believe.

It started with soap still being in dispenser at end of load. Then after re running- found a melted cup after load. Now, running a load has no clean dishes after.

I put the dishwasher into diagnostic mode and when I run the heating element test it is seemingly not heating it up at all. I can hear the relay click when I start the test so I know the communication is there.
Seems like the float has been issues for other models but when I cleaned around that area, the float is a different model than most GEs and isn’t elec

Anyone have any ideas on what the issue could be?

Corrected model number

GDT695S3DS is not pulling up as good, please recheck your model number.

The model number tag is located inside the door on the tub frame.

GDT695SFL3DS

was able to reset the TCO And heater back on.

Now back to not having a complete cleaning and a reminder of the detergent pod. Seems like not much water in the tub maybe.

Thanks!

It sounds like the water inlet valve is clogged with sediment or your water supply to it has low pressure.

I'd first turn the water supply off to the dishwasher and remove the water line from the water inlet valve and check that screen for sediment clogs.

Here's the water inlet valve for your model:

thanks I’ll check it out!

I did notice that while in the diagnostic mode, the circulation pump mode didn’t make much noise or movements. Could this be from the water inlet as well?

Still ends like this, really hot when opening. Almost as if water was absent. (I definitely turned water back on )

Did it even fill with water at all?

Stay with the machine and after you start it listen for water coming into the machine.

If you hear no water entering, you will need a multimeter to check for 13.5 DC Volts at the water inlet valve electrical connectors.

If you DO NOT get 13.5 DC Volts when it should be filling, then ohm test the float switch(while the button on it is pushed in) for continuity.

Here's the float switch for your model:
Float Switch WD21X23498

Its in-stock here if you need it:

Here's the service manual for your model: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1M-G9W3HiaYnihdB5Cy-jfSPoVf8DZ7j7/view?usp=sharing Page 51 tells you how to access the float switch. Make sure you disconnect power to your dishwasher before ohm testing it.

After it fills with water the circulation(wash) motor should come on and start running and you should hear water splashing in the tub, does that happen?

Ok, now we are getting to the heart of the matter.:)

Sounds like the circulation pump(wash motor) went out, lets verify that.

Here's the service manual for your model: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1M-G9W3HiaYnihdB5Cy-jfSPoVf8DZ7j7

Do this--->No Circulation Flow Chart on Page 55.

Here's the circulation pump(wash motor) for your model you can order, if needed:
