Dishwasher is ~ 1.5 years old. Cleans dishes well with not flashing error indicators to date. However, there are times when the "clean" light fails to illuminate on top or front of door. I saw another post regarding a "UI" board for another model but wasnt sure if this was applicable for my model type. Thanks for your help!

Corrected model number

Hi,

Your missing a digit in your model number. The model number tag is located inside the door on the tub frame.

Here's the results I get:
PDP715SYN0FS
PDP715SYN2FS
PDP715SYN3FS

But you may want to contact GE to come out at 1-800-432-2737 just to make sure before you order and replace it, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks Jake! It seems this is a common issue across multiple models of GE Dishwashers. Ill look into that link for the part and let you know when I have it replaced.

Hi Jake,
I called the 800 number but just keep being brought back to scheduling service call. Before I order the part, is there a diagnostic test I could run by typing a sequence on the keypad? I know there are some models that allow for this. I had looked at another GE post you had worked on and appeared to be an indicator light blink sequence that pointed to where the malfunction originated. Appreciate your help.

thanks
Karl

Ok Karl,

On this newer model dishwasher you have has the square shaped control board, and those instructions do not relate to the newer control board you have.:)

Service LED on Main Control
--->The new main control has a steady flash pattern on the service LED and only indicates the dishwasher has power and DC voltage is being produced by the control.

I'm attaching the tech. data sheet for your model below.

Get into the ERROR MODE then do--->Door Status Check
then do--->Error Code Display Mode

Then do SERVICE MODE

Jake
