Dishwasher GDF610PSJ2SS will not start. Had just done a wash the day before, everything worked fine. Loaded it again and went to start it and the Start button led began flashing. It will not start. Looked at online forums and found to press the Start button and Cycle button together for 5 seconds. This does nothing that I can see.

I then checked the service led on the main control board at the bottom of the dishwasher. Dropped it down to look at it and the service led was flashing 2x. Apparently this indicates the dishwasher is in delay mode and will clear when the delay time passes.

I have never used the delay mode but anyway it sat for days would not start. After doing some more online searching it seemed that the main control board was bad so I ordered a new main control board (WD21X24900C) from AppliancePartsPros and changed the control board out. I still get the same indicators. The Start led flashes continuously and the service led flashes 2x. Not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

So the start light is flashing non-stop all the time? Did you try to power cycle the dishwasher off for 5 minutes, then power it back on and see if that clears/resets it?

Here's your service manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XTOXM0wA0UJEuucW0deIni17sMPtDGtD/view?usp=share_link Look on Page 39

You already tried this--->To Enter Consumer Error Mode: With the dishwasher in Standby Mode (not running a cycle), press and hold the Cycle Select and Start buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

LED--->Start--->Communications Failure--->User Interface control unable to communicate with machine control.

Then it sounds like you will need the new UI Board(at the top of the dishwasher door).

Here's the UI Board for your model: WD21X31902 Video included in part link.

I have tried power cycling the dishwasher for 5 minutes or more several times. Has made no difference. I guess I will try the UI Board. Thanks for responding!

Yes, the new UI Board should fix it, let us know how it goes.
