We have an almost new GE dishwasher that stopped working after being removed for a cabinet remodel and reinstalled. We tested it by running a rinse cycle after reinstalling. It won't drain all the water from the tub, and now won't start. After a couple of minutes, it starts beeping and displays a code that looks like Ftd.
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks!

What I usually do is get a bucket or container then put the drain hose in it and press cancel drain to see how fast the water is running out into the bucket or container, it should be a good strong flow out of the drain hose.

Did you just replace your garbage disposal? If so, then you have to knockout the plastic stopper where the dishwasher drain hose connects to if the water is coming out full force from the drain hose.

Also check inside the garbage disposal port where the drain hose connects to, I've seen that get clogged and prevent it from draining as well.

If none of the above fixes the issue, its best to contact GE at 1-800-432-2737 to have a GE tech. come out to see what's going on under warranty.

The garbage disposal is the same one we used before the new cabinets went in. The machine does not drain at all. I thought it did, but it doesn't. Also, it will not turn off unless I unplug it.
I think maybe I'll just call the GE guy...
Appreciate your input!
Thanks!
