My ~2 year old GE Dishwasher is facing an issue where (occassionally) it will beep three times after starting a cycle, show an error code 888, and not run. Resetting the dishwasher at the switch or filling the tub with water will sometimes work. I've cycled through the test phases for the model and all are working fine. Any thoughts?

I'm attaching your tech. data sheet below.

This is what error 888 says:

Here's another person that had this issue as well:

Part number is WD12X24598 for the Flow Meter Assembly.

I have dishwasher of similar age with fill troubles. GE GDT665SGN0WW
No longer uses a float. 2 sensors face into the cup under filter, and get gunked up, no longer sending info. In my case it was the sensor which is at about 8 oclock if you pretend the filter cup is a clock. It has a right angle tube to it, so doesn't clean in place, even with my trusty water pik. Snap it out from under machine, and clean out the gunk. Problem solved. Sorry I don't know which sensor does what; the other one, at 4 o:clock, has a light in it to judge presence or dirtyness of water. I have had to do this repair twice in 3 year old machine; no thanks for the design.

Thanks for letting us know.

Hopefully GE will change the pressure sensory design, I agree.
