Dishwasher would not power on at all. I pulled the main board out and found the fuse was blown. Tried shorting it out as a test, still no power to the user control board. Ordered a replacement control board (WD21X24900). Installed it and it looked like all was well. Unit powered up. Tried to run a cycle. Water valve opens and allows water to flow for a minute or so but then when I am used to hearing the pump kick on and the sprayers activate, nothing. The timer will still count down. After a few minutes, I smelled something like hat plastic. I opened the door and didn't see anything melting but it appears the heater element is on. Wondering if I have the wrong control board or if there is more wrong.

Hi,

You accidentally installed the wrong machine control board, also the service manual says when that fuse is found open to replace the circulation pump too.

--->Here's the machine control board for your model: WD21X24901 Machine Control

Here's the service manual for your model: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XTOXM0wA0UJEuucW0deIni17sMPtDGtD

On page 52 is says NO CIRCULATION, then there is a flowchart to tell the steps on what to check with a multimeter.

The first is Circulation Pump will not run--->Access main control, place dishwasher in service mode, check for 120 Volts AC on connector J702 Pin 2(YB) to Pin 3(CR) there is a misprint, it should be connector J703 not J702.

Circulation Motor Fuse
A circulation pump motor fuse is located on the main control board. If found open while testing for no circulation pump operation, the main control and circulation pump must be replaced.

If 120 VAC is not volts at MC J703-2 to J703-3, check the fuse at the points shown in the below illustration. If an open circuit is seen, replace the main control and circulation pump.

Here's the circulation pump(wash motor) for your model:

Jake -

THANK YOU!!!

Parts arrived and it took about 30 minutes to install. Ran a quick cycle to make sure there were no leaks and the unit cycled properly.

Happy wife, happy life!
