Washer will not power on (come out of standy) when pressing the button. However, when the dial is turned the panel does light up and the different wash cycles / settings selectable.

I've tried unplugging the washer for better than an hour that had no effect.

I've heard that GE put out a service bulletin regarding the user control interface boards? Not sure if that is true or if the source of the problem is elsewhere.

What trouble shooting steps can I do?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the reply, Jake!

I've tried entering into the consumer fault code mode and was unable.

Washer had been unplugged for several days. I plugged it in and heard a few clicks coming from inside the machine.

Long pressing the pad does not cause any led activity. Attempted a handful of times unplugging, waiting, replugging and upwards of a few minutes of long pressing.

As a test, I attempted the same procedure on our GE dryer (GFD55GSSN0WW) and was successful at the 10 second mark so I'm guessing I'm trying correctly assuming process would be the same.

I can initiate led activity on the washer if I spin the dial but then I have to unplug washer to quiet the never ending beeping.

Any thought where I go from here?

Unfortunately not, like I mentioned "I haven't worked on this model as of yet".

All I could locate was the tech. data sheet.

Hopefully another tech or member that's seen this problem and fixed it can shed some light on this issue.

Other than that, you can contact GE at 1-800-432-2737 to have a GE tech. come out to see what's going on.
