• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

My GE (2.5 yr old) Microwave (JT3800SH7SS) will only run for a period of 10 - 30 seconds before power is briefly interrupted. The control board reports that power was momentarily lost. This can be repeated without waiting. Just open/close the Microwave door and start again. No other error codes. There are 2 AC interlocks: primary door and the monitor interlock (ensures magnetron not powered if door is open) I suspect that one of these interlocks is intermittent but my main question is the Magnetron thermostat, are these thermostats resettable? I am guessing not for safety reasons. The fact that the power failure is very brief makes me believe this thermostat is fine.
Looking forward to some advice.
Thanks
Jim
