• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

    ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

    Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
    ...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

    From Jeff's site: http://www.applianceaid.com/component-testing.php

Hi Robert,

Nothing pulls up for model PW1870SM3SS are you sure its not: PVM1870SM3SS ?

Rick is very good with microwaves, but he's been out with a serious illness unfortunately and we don't know when he will return.

I know nothing about microwaves or I would help you.

Hopefully another tech can assist you, other than that here's another help site that can assist you:

Hi Jake;
Thank you very much for your reply. I am very new at this computer stuff, so I do not know if I am doing it right or not. I hope someone will have a answer.
