We bought a GE Monogram ZTSX1DPSN1SS several months ago. It has steadily been making a buzzing sound during cool down. It was soft at first but has become progressively louder and more consistent over time.
Now it sounds like this every time we use it and have turned the temperature to off. I think it's some cooling fan, but not sure. Almost sounds like the fan is jammed or rubbing against something metal. Since it sounds like it's coming from the top/near front of the cavity, I fear it may be a fan related to cooling down the panel electronics. Which ironically, is what took out our last GE oven.
This is a tricky one to have a repair person diagnose, because first the oven has to be heated to high levels and then turned off to repeat it. And I doubt they'd want to open up a 400 F-degree oven.
I did see this thread, which talked about a GE Profile range with similar issues, yet the sound isn't quite the same.
Anyone experienced this or know the locations of all the cooling fans on this unit? Do we think it's the same fan as the Profile?
