GE Portable D/W Model GPT225SGL0WW when up select the cycle the correct time comes on then you push start it will be silent for about 7 seconds then 3 888s show up and then
it will beep 3 times i have read alot on this 2 most common ansewers are the main control board is not communicating with one of the components or the main control board i checked all
of the connections everything is ok so i replaced the Main Control board and that didnt fix the problem anyone have any Ideals

I located another person with this similar problem:

He said the GE tech replaced the user interface(UI Board) with this New Part # WD21X28718 You model uses that exact same one.

That fixed his.

ok i ordered the UI and replaced that it still does the same thing its acting like the installs beeps 3 times like door is still open
so ive replaced both electronic boards do you think a latch would be the next step what ive read is that it says a component is not
communicating with the board any ideals would be helpful

That is odd.

This is a very new model I have not even come across as of yet. I can't even locate the tech. data sheet for it. But all dishwashers do come with tech. data sheets, yours should be located underneath the dishwasher behind the bottom access panel on the left or right side frame.

Did you find yours?

I don't know if a new door latch would fix it, since I'm not able see how to test yours.

Here's the door latch assembly for your model:

Jake, thanks for all your input on this issue. I have the exact same issue with GPT225SSL0SS and have read a lot including many of yours. I live summers in a very rural area and any tech is at least 2 hours away. I am pretty handy but don't like the replace and see method but find myself in doing just that as info, tech manual, etc is very hard to come by. I have gone through the service mode and all cycle select functions perform flawlessly. I have replaced the control board no fix. The service info (found under the kick panel LOL) is not written well alludes to "Flow meter " problems so I have one coming with doubts! I have read of U.I. board problems but that was on older and slightly different machines and no way to test - just buy and try method! We purchased Sept 2021 and this problem (888) showed up right away but we unplugged for short time and problem went away (for short periods of time). Use was very limited as we are snowbirds and head your way for the winter. When we returned same problem showed up and unplugging only worked for a short time and now is pemanant (should have contacted GE under warrenty but didn't. they did give me a phone # for special situation which I will probably try this coming Monday and will report back any findings. Again thanks for your input on this blog. p.s. I am getting quite good at dissassembly and reassembly!

FIXED! I had the exact same problem. After much searching and replacing the control board like a lot of other people I find that was not the problem. Replacing the Airbreak Flow Meter WD12X24598. did fix this problem. :) This piece of plastic with a wired sensor on it sits inconspicuously under the outside tin on the left side (facing the washer).

I'm having the same issue, what led you to figure out this was the problem?
