I got the same problem -- after it stops, after waiting for a while (could be half hour, or 15 min, or an hour) the dishwasher would come back on its own. If the door is closed, it will continue the cycle, then die after another few minutes.

There's no error code or anything displayed.

@simonchestnut did GE fix yours eventually?

Very long story short...after 5 unsuccessful repair visits I gave up, emailed the CEO of GE appliances, and ended up getting a new dishwasher (same unit) for $200. Such a frustrating experience. Good news is that I have a new dishwasher; bad news is that it's another GE.

Thanks for the update! I guess I'll start googling the CEO's email address in case I need it 😂

I recommend it! It's out there. That seemed to be the only way that they would respond. A member of the executive customer relations team got back to me within the day. You may not like the answer you get from them, but at least you'll get it quicker 😃

I have the exact same issue. DW stops mid cycle with H20 error. I changed the water inlet valve and have good pressure.
Was there a resolution to this problem?

Super late to the thread, but I want to say thanks for making me feel like I wasn't crazy!

I have a fix that has worked for me a few times. My dishwasher is on the second floor of my house, and I've heard water hammer in my pipes when my previous dishwasher was run. My guess is that the problem is related to that issue.

What worked for me: Turn off water shutoff valve to dishwasher. Run dishwasher cycle with water off. Dishwasher will start, then stop after a few minutes. Turn water back on. Run dishwasher. Dishwasher will run full cycle as normal. This process fixed the problem for me for about twenty cycles or so. When the dishwasher started acting up again, I repeated the process, which solved the problem again. I've since installed a water hammer arrestor in hopes that will be a permanent fix.

I hope this helps someone else out there!

I have been having this issue as well. I have model no. PDT715SYN0FS. I was getting pretty much all of the symptoms listed above including the stopping 1/2 way through and the cycle finishes but the dishes are dirty. I did all the checking of filters and clogged spinners. The latest was the H20 error with the flashing temp button. My water pressure seems fine but tried the above mentioned turning off the water running the dishwasher and then turning on the water.

Weird thing is when I turned off the water and ran the dishwasher it no longer gave me the error. I behaved like it was running normally but there was no water. When I turned on the water again it behaved exactly the same as with the water turned off. It was running normally but no water is entering. This caused the dishwasher to get really hot because the heating element came on with no water. Should have turned it off right away after checking that no water was entering but I was hoping it would miraculously start working. Anyway I threw some water into the dish washer to cool it down and it runs great if there is water in there.

Debating just ordering a new pressure sensor but with one person above having that not work I am wondering if there has been any additional developments with this issue and a more clear firm fix.

Wishing now I had not replaced my 20 year old dishwasher that mostly still worked.

I located another thread about your issue here:
I posted a service bulletin in post #2 as well.

You model--->PDT715SYN0FS uses that exact same machine control board:

Then you can see in his post #8 of that thread, that new control board fixed it.
Changing the control board did the trick - running the dishwasher right now with no H2O errors.
Installation was a piece of cake - didn't even need to move the dishwasher for the swap out.
Thanks so much, Jake! Really appreciate your help!

Jake,
Is this the same for PDT715SYN3FS model?
Also should we ignore the model compatibility checker on that website, doesn't seem the acknowledge the PDT715___ models at all.
Thanks!
Yes, your model uses the exact same machine control board.

Yes, the compatibility checker is not always up to date. So you can ignore that.
