GE Profile with hidden lower bake element will not heat up. Broil element works, convection fan works with both broil and bake element selection, all burners work, but bake element won't work. Pulled side of stove off, slid out bake element and looks perfect, continuity perfect through heating element. Connections and wires look good, reassembled - no change, everything works but heat element. It made a buzzing sound when it stopped working. Display looks fine from outside. Suggestions?

Hi,

If the bake element checks ok, wires check ok and we don`t get power to the bake element when set for bake.....makes the control a prime suspect.

Thank you for the quick reply. Is there any easy way to confirm if it's the ECR? The price on that is more than half of the cost of the stove, and given the age would not make sense to me to replace that part.

Check for power entering the clock/control and power exiting the clock/control when set for bake....no power exiting = bad clock/control.

L1 and L2 are power into the clock.
BAKE is one coming out, RY2 is other power coming out.
220-240 volts ac in and 220-240 volts ac coming out when the clock/control is set for bake.
